Stain Glass Scrap Quilt Blocks, Sneaker Slipper Crochet Pattern and Machine Embroidery on Quilts.
I started making these quilt blocks with all my scraps. I really love the look of them. They do take a little longer than other scrap quilts. This photo is from a scrap quilt stain glass tutorial here
I am doing a few different crochet blankets. Including Tapestry crochet, Filet crochet and I would like to do these slippers.I made one pair a couple of years ago and my kids want more for Christmas.
Here's the link
I've been adding embroidery to my quilts. Not extensively but bits here and there. Right now I have a problem with my machine not recognizing the throat plate is on so I will try vacuuming it and cleaning it since I used it a lot for Christmas.
Site for tutorial here
I've also been updating my pinterest and I finally posted here and uploaded a video to my youtube channel. It's been close to a year for my blogspot and 2 years since I uploaded on youtube.
Well, I'll be posting about a new costume I will be starting for Halloween. Yeah I know it's really early but why not.

Tapestry crochet
Left in Knots site here
I I have been trying Tapestry crochet. It's a bit complicated but pretty cool after you get the hang of it.
I haven't tried multiple colors just two but eventually I want to make a whole blanket.
What's Tapestry crochet well its:
"Tapestry crochet is a crochet technique that uses multiple colors of yarn to create patterns, letters, pictures, or geometric designs." "Tapestry crochet is sometimes called jacquard crochet, intarsia, mosaic, fair isle, and colorwork, but today these terms usually describe different techniques. Since the yarns are switched back and forth to create motifs,[1] tapestry crochet fabric looks more like it was woven on a loom than crocheted with a hook. " Definition from Wikipedia
When I have more done , I will show it. At the moment I have a skull(which I had to redo 4 times) and plan on doing a black and white blanket. They are squares that I will have to sew together.
Let you know when I work more on this.

Quilting Templates for beginner quilters
I thought of buying one of these to do some quilting. I made quilts but I never free motion quilted. I would like to do that since it makes a quilt look so pretty. I don't know what designs to do so I thought this would be better.
Quilting Digest
I haven't bought it yet but I think I will.
Here's a short video on how to use it.
You also have to buy a special foot for it too.
I'll let you know how it goesThursday, August 18, 2022
Skeleton Clown(Day of the Dead) Halloween Costume
I have more pictures but hubby's phone is a pain in the ass sending them so I'll post them up later.
This was the first time putting fairy lights in a costume. I have put lights on a costume(Mr. Freeze)but not this many.
It took me days to sew the tutu. I had 27 yards of tulle total. Each yard a different color. I also had to sew the ribbon and sequins on it. I had 3 tiers of ribbon. I added red paint to look like blood on one of the ribbons. It took hours to sew 8 different types of ribbon. Sew 27 yards 4 times -3 times for ribbon and once for the waist. I actually had a tutorial from Cachi's Customs to help with it.
I bought a skeleton body suit that glows in the dark but best of all-it fit. Which was hard to find but I found it on Etsy.
The wig had pigtails too and colorful. It sometimes stuck to my make up but I love it.
The umbrella I picked up that summer before I even started the costume but knew what I was going to do. Got that at Fun Town/Splash Town.
I also had red contact lenses and Pennywise teeth.
I might put up a tutorial how I did the tutu for an adult eventually.
The bottom picture show the mess I had in my sewing room trying to sew all those layers.
Thanks for stopping by.
