Super easy:
Looking for those metal medallions that recently(and were used more in the early 90's in ATS) are turning up on Tribal belts?
Found a cheap way.
I use belt buckles from those fashion belts. I recieve a lot of broken belts from work and thought they would make lovely medallions on a belt.(You can also purchase buckles or/and belts at dept. store, thrift stores, Hot Topic, etc.)
They would be also great for head pieces. I've also heard and seen some dancers using hard disk drives from the inside of a comp. Jewel-lia from TribalTique ( www.tribaltique.com )explains how she made them on that link below.

Here are some of the items made on there.
This were made with matching the scalloped bra tops in mind. Rivet in center attaches leather tab that can be sewn on garment.
Megan used a whole belt and old zills on her awesome fabulous belt. Her description and pic of her belt

What I did:
1) I added a drapey chain to the bottom of the belt
2) I found a pair of zills that I loved the engravings on but didn't ever use and used the elastic from the zills to sew the zill onto a small square of fabric. I then sewed the four zill/fabric squares onto the belt.
3) I ransacked vintage shops and resale shops in Columbia for a huge gaudy belt with a big buckle. I found the one in the picture and sewed the kuchi base onto the belt itself. I sewed the ends of the belt down onto the belt as well. The leather on the non-buckle side threads under the buckle, through a metal loop on the buckle, and then fits on the other side between the kuchi base and the leather. Very strong and sturdy, and this way the fabric doesn't droop.
