Fringe Belts

Project level-Easy
 Project list
Cotton fabric
 brocade fabric
18 inch Fringe
Rit dye

I had bought some fringe a while ago and finally got to making my belt. All I did was dye my white fringe in Rit dye for about 45 minutes. I dipped half of it in and let it run up the fringe,( in the picture it looks all one purple color but there are darker and lighter shades from top to bottom).

I had some left over butterfly fabric in purple brocade and teal cotton. I measured around my waist and cut out my fabric to have it tie on the front. The waistband on my belt is about 4 inches wide. I just sewed it together w/ a decorative gold stitch and added some teal ties. Its reversible too. I bought my fringe @ http://www.theatrehouse.com they have 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 32 inch long fringe in a variety of colors.
