Halloween Fairy Garden

From Joann fabrics instructions here

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Funkin Pumpkin
  • Pumpkin carving knife
  • Moss (variety)
  • Resin Halloween figures
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Disposable plastic containers (i.e. cottage cheese, yogurt)
  • Sturdy paper plates (one each approximately 8-5/8" diameter & 6-5/8" diameter)
  • Push pins
  • Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Pin the edge of the paper plate slightly under the stem of the pumpkin. Slit the paper plate about five times around the edges to allow it to lie flat on the curved pumpkin. Pin into place. Trace circle with a pencil, remove plate, and cut out the circle with the carving knife.
  2. Build a platform inside the pumpkin by hot gluing the containers to the floor of the pumpkin. Build it to the level of the bottom of the opening, and tilted so the platform slopes forward slightly.
  3. Hot glue moss to the back of the large paper plate, curve the plate slightly to insert it into the pumpkin opening and glue to the platform.
  4. Hot glue moss around the pumpkin opening, inside the opening, and around the stem, allowing some to cascade down the pumpkin sides.
  5. Attach resin figure, welcome sign, cat, and pumpkins with hot glue.

Los Chiquitos Cloth Diapers

After making diapers since 1999 online, I've decided to set a date on which I won't make them anymore. I plan in two years of selling off fabric and diapers. So the plan of retiring just the diaper making from Los Chiquitos in 2018 June. Why? I don't have as much time anymore and I rather sew other things. My youngest is almost 14 and I really like to pursue something else. Perhaps even more costume making.

So, I have already posted some of my fabrics on www.loschiquitos.etsy.com. I will be putting up a lot more. I still will be making diapers but I will post the prints I really like and all of them will AIO one size. I got to the point I don't care for custom made. Why? Because you have to make something a certain way instead of just sewing whatever you want. Since I've stopped the custom diapers it has been fun making them. Of course I don't make as many and that is okay.
Anyway, check out the fabrics @ LosChiquitos

Avengers Shirt

I made this shirt for my Father for his Birthday. Every year I make him a few shirts with prints. I have done every animal, soccer ball fabric, mermaids, etc and didn't have a clue for a different print.
So I saw this print and made him this shirt.
