Star Wars Costume continued again

Finished the cloak. It doesn't take too long too make. The only thing that's hard is maneuvering 6 1/2 yards of fabric while you sew parts of it on or doing hems. I don't have a pic of it yet as I gave it to my son and its in his room and he's asleep. Tomorrow I'll try to get pics.

Dracula (Van Helsing) Costume Part 3

Working on the jacket. Have the frogs pinned down on one side. Then I'll have to add the frogs to the other side. I'm burnt out on making costumes now. I'll be up late tonight finishing this one at least.

Star Wars Costume continued

Simplicity Pattern 4450 Here's a picture of some of the fabric I bought for his costume. Went to a fabric warehouse(called Fabric Warehouse in Auburn,Maine) where they sell mostly upholstery fabric. The sales associate was awesome as she helped me pick out the fabric I needed at 99 cents a yard. Yes , you read that right-99 cents a yard. She was super nice and helpful. I'll send them a pic of the end costume when I hopefully get it done tomorrow or Friday.

Dracula (Van Helsing) Costume Part 2

Here's the shirt I made for my son's costume. Didn't take too long to make. Its made of silky black costume fabric. He wore his costume this past weekend for a party but I haven't finished the coat completely. That I'll show you soon.

Halloween Belly Ball

Had a great time and so did dh. Didn't have time to do the mermaid thing so ended up doing a Circus belly dancer-?? Like the Blue Hair? Anyway, got to wear my modified Hakama pants and one of my older costumes. I even got to wear Natalie Brown's hand beaded Head piece. Beautiful piece she made for me awhile ago. Yes, I made everything in the picture-skirt, pants, top, jewelry, feather head piece, hip scarf, arm bands except the shell head piece. Next ball is planned for Feb. to which dh and I not only plan to attend but bring even more food.
